Black Dog

On the surface, the reports are explainable: a large black dog moving through the forests of Glacier National Park. Damaged campsites. Strange tracks. Missing wildlife.

Animal behavioral consultant James Kessler is brought in to separate fact from fear, but the deeper he and Ranger Kate Brody push into the wilderness, the harder it becomes to force what they’re seeing into familiar shapes.

Something is moving through the park at night. Something intelligent. Something watching.

And when it finally steps into the light, James realizes too late that some things survive precisely because nobody wants to look too closely.

SOME THINGS ARE BETTER LEFT IN THE SHADOWS.
